Privacy policy
Last updated: October 29, 2026
The short version
- CleanUai runs on your Mac. There’s no account and no telemetry, and the list of your files never leaves your computer.
- The app only goes online for three things: activating your license and free trial, checking for new versions of CleanUai itself and, on channel 07, checking for new versions of your apps.
- When you buy, we keep your email and your key so we can send your license and free up your old Mac. Payment is handled by Stripe or InfinitePay, and we never see your card details.
- This website counts visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which is anonymous and uses no cookies.
1. Who we are
CleanUai is made and sold by oprimo.dev, run by Luciano de Souza. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean us. For anything privacy-related, write to apps@oprimo.dev.
2. What the app does with your files
To find junk, app leftovers and large files, CleanUai reads the names, sizes and dates of files and folders on your Mac. This happens only on your Mac. Scan results, the Space Lens map and the list of installed apps are never sent to us or anyone else.
The app has no analytics, no telemetry and no account.
If you grant Full Disk Access, CleanUai can read more folders (such as caches and Library) and finds more. The access is used to read and measure. You can turn it off anytime in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Full Disk Access.
3. Connections the app makes
License and free trial
When you start the free trial or activate or deactivate a license, the app talks to cleanuai-activation.oprimo.dev. It sends your license key (if you have one), an identifier for your Mac, so each license works on 1 Mac at a time and the trial can’t restart, and the app’s language, so messages come back in your language. The server returns a signed receipt that the app can check offline afterwards.
New versions of CleanUai
CleanUai uses Sparkle to check our server for new versions. That request carries your license receipt or trial pass, so the server knows whether you’re entitled to the new version. It also carries what any internet request carries, such as your IP address and the app version.
New versions of your apps (channel 07)
To tell you which apps have updates, the App Updater checks public sources using each app’s identifier and version:
- Apple’s App Store lookup API, for apps installed from the App Store;
- the public Homebrew API, for apps that exist as a cask;
- each app’s own Sparkle feed, hosted by that app’s developer.
These lookups go straight from your Mac to those services, not through us, and follow each service’s own policy. When you choose to update, the new version downloads from the address its developer published.
4. When you buy
On the purchase page you enter your email and choose to pay in US dollars (card, via Stripe) or Brazilian reais (Pix or card, via InfinitePay). Stripe or InfinitePay processes the payment under their own policies; we never receive your card number.
Our server keeps your email, your key, the order record (amount, currency, date) and the Mac your key is active on. The email with your key is sent through Resend. We use this data to deliver your license, free up your old Mac when you switch machines and reply when you get in touch. We don’t sell or rent it.
5. What stays on your Mac
Your license receipt is stored in the macOS Keychain, with a copy in the app’s support folder. Your settings stay on your Mac too. Uninstalling CleanUai and deleting those folders removes that data from your computer.
6. This website
clean.oprimo.dev is hosted on Vercel and counts visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which is anonymous and uses no cookies. It measures things like page views, country and browser type without identifying you. Vercel and the download server may keep standard technical logs of requests, such as IP addresses.
If you leave your email in a form on this site (“Notify me”, “Send me the link”), we store the address, the page language, where on the site it came from, the currency you picked and the date, on CleanUai’s license server. It is used only to email you about CleanUai: the download link you asked for, new versions and news. We don’t sell or share your email with anyone. To leave, use the unsubscribe link at the end of any email or write to apps@oprimo.dev, and the address is deleted.
7. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you. Write to apps@oprimo.dev. To remove your license from a Mac, use the release your old Mac page. If you ask us to delete your purchase data, the license can no longer be recovered or transferred.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. For big changes, we’ll post a notice on the site first.
