HOW EACH CHANNEL WORKS
CleanUai is a panel with eight channels, numbered 00 to 07, plus a menu bar agent. Each page below explains what a channel looks for, where it looks, what it never touches and how to use it.
The channels

Channel 00
Smart scan
CleanUai’s smart scan reads your Mac in about 2 seconds and shows junk, app leftovers and free disk space on one screen. Scanning only reads: nothing moves.

Channel 01
System Junk
What CleanUai’s System Junk channel cleans: app caches, logs, Xcode DerivedData, npm, pnpm, bun, Gradle and Cargo caches, and incomplete downloads. Everything goes to the Trash.

Channel 02
Space Lens
CleanUai’s Space Lens maps your Mac’s disk in rings: each ring is a folder level, and the bigger the arc, the more space. 2.3 million items in about 12 seconds.

Channel 03
Large & Old
CleanUai’s Large & Old channel lists huge, forgotten files in your home folder, filtered by type (video, disk image, archive…) and by age.

Channel 04
Uninstaller
Dragging an app to the Trash leaves preferences, caches and support files in Library. CleanUai’s Uninstaller removes the app together with everything it scattered around.

Channel 05
Leftovers
CleanUai’s Leftovers channel finds files in Library from apps you already deleted, grouped by app. Nothing comes checked: you review and choose.

Channel 06
Trash
CleanUai’s Trash channel shows what’s in the macOS Trash and how much it weighs. Emptying deletes for good, so it only happens by holding the button until the LED fills.

Channel 07
App Updater
CleanUai’s App Updater finds updates for your apps through Sparkle, the App Store and Homebrew, with Update all, release notes and the old version going to the Trash.

Menu bar agent
CleanUai’s menu bar agent shows CPU, memory, disk, network and battery, the apps using the most memory and quick actions: clean junk, empty the Trash, quit apps.

Safety
Scanning only reads, everything goes to the Trash, deleting for good needs a held button, and a guard refuses system folders, Documents, Keychains, Photos and iCloud Drive.

Full Disk Access
Without Full Disk Access, macOS hides caches, app leftovers and much of Library. See what CleanUai uses it for, how to grant it and how to revoke it.
